In Oct.,2010, I did a public bus tour to see minority markets in Yunnan where there is a small region close to Vietnam.It is a hard and long bus journey, because some parts of road are rebuilding and the winding road around the mountains. But i think for the people really want to see minority markets maybe it is worth to go. I expect the road will be much better after 2 years building. |
Jinping where is about 5 to 6 hours by bus from Yuanyang, but at that time there is 2 hours bumpy road is rebuilding. only allow the buses to pass at early morning time( before 7 am), noon time and evening time. In Jinping the streets are quite small, there are 2 markets(old markets and new markets) in the city nearby the bus station. I saw Hani people and Yao people on the regular market.

Nafa where is about 1 hour by bus from Jinping and at the border of China to Vietnam . At that time, the road is bumpy, only allow the buses to pass at early morning time( before 7 am), noon time and evening time. I saw different Hani people and Yao people on the regular market.  Hani people

Tongchang where is more than 1 hour by bus away from Jinping and 1700 meters above sea level . I saw Yi people,Miao people and different Hani people on the regular market.
